Description

Just 3 km from the village of Capoliveri, in the Baia della Fontanella, and approximately 8 km from Porto Azzurro, Lo Smeraldo is a complex of studio apartments offering spectacular views from its position on a hill of Mediterranean maquis that sweeps down towards the sea. The uninterrupted panorama (visible on three sides) of the island’s green and blue shades is utterly captivating.

Among the facilities provided for guests: private (unmanned) parking a large, freshwater infinity pool (available from the middle of June to the middle of September), a spacious sun deck complete with umbrellas and loungers, a communal barbecue, and a lift.

The charming villages of Capoliveri and Porto Azzurro are within easy reach, allowing you to take in Elba’s unmistakable atmosphere as you visit the wide range of services, shops, boutiques and quaint restaurants.

Just 500 metres away is Naregno, with its mostly sandy beach stretching around the bay, overlooked by the evocative, star-shaped fortress of Forte Focardo, which was erected by the Neapolitan Viceroy in the 17th century.

Beach equipment, windsurfs, sailing boats, dinghies and pedalos can be hired on the beach, where there is ample nearby parking, in addition to diving and sailing schools and slipways.  There is also a minimarket with a newsstand and a tobacconist, as well as several bars and restaurants.

The apartments, some of which have a sea view and others a view of the pool, have furnished terraces, satellite TV, electric blinds and bathrooms with shower cubicles and hairdryers. Air conditioning available upon payment of a supplement. They feature a lounge/dining area with kitchenette (with electric hobs), a double sofa bed, a fold-out double bed and a bathroom.
